Why choose endemic plants?
Bringing back nature
First of all, why are we calling them endemic plants? Why not just call them natives?
An endemic species is found in a particular geographic location or ecosystem. We specialise in NSW endemics as they are adapted to the growing conditions of this state.
Many of the popular and trendy species of Australian natives are endemic to Western Australia, where the soils, conditions & weather are entirely different to those found on this side of the country. As a consequence many of these popular varieties struggle in our gardens, and require large amounts of care and effort in order to make them look their best.
Some of the best things about growing local endemic species is that they require less upkeep and they pair well together, making it easy to build a garden that feels full but not crowded.

There are more than 6000 species of native plants in NSW, almost 1/4 of which can only be found in this state. Many of these species are unheard of in cultivation, and almost impossible to find in local garden centres.
We want to change this!
We want to make these beautiful species accessible to all, through sustainably sourcing plant material from licensed growers, seed collectors & bush restoration groups.
